Snowmen
Students
in first grade are introduced to many
different sculpture media. Creating
armatures from newspapers and tape,
students create spheres in three different
sizes: small, medium, and large. We
cover the armatures with pariscraft.
When the sculpures are dry, students
enhance their snow characters with faces,
hats, scaves, etc.
First
graders also use clay to create dinosaur
sculptures.
